One element of art seen through the finger puppets is texture. There are bumps and rough surfaces on the finger puppets that can be attributed to its tactile texture. The bumpy texture made it kind of hard to paint over it but gave it another kind of look as to if it was smooth and flat. It is what makes it look different from one anothers because each of our fingers created different textures and forms. They all held different and unique shapes and sizes as a base structure for the canvas. Sharp edges are another type of tactile texture, producing a different sensation when touched than bumpy areas of the puppet for viewers, the finger puppet is more engaging and interactive because the texture added depth and realism.

The use of a process approach can lead to improved productivity and ongoing enhancement. By adopting a process-oriented approach, processes may be optimized and made more efficient. People may concentrate on every stage and complete it quicker and more precisely if complex tasks are broken step by step. The following step is continuous improvement. A process approach additionally offers a structure for continual enhancement, where each step of the procedure is gathered and improved over time to optimize results and may determine areas for advancement by following and studying data from each step. Moreover, when there is process work for every step of the artwork, children can work on critical thinking skills and find mistakes to build on more for their finger puppet sculptures.

Going through this sculpture process is important as it shows us the properties of the plaster bandages and watching it dry up to create a hard solid that conforms with our finger. We learned about the quickness we had to be when applying these as they dry pretty fast. We also learned how important it is for us to apply Vaseline to our fingers before applying the plaster so that it does not stick to our skin. We also learnt to manage layers, when not to put another layer on because the bottom layer was too wet. Some even learned to create designs and shapes to add on a 3D touch to enhance the details on what we wanted to make. It was a fun process trying to create shapes on top of the plaster foundation on our finger and how to go about it as it was a trial and error process to get it to stay in place. Through this we also learned about how they adhere to the materials to get it to stay on and hold it place as we worked on our fingers. The experience was fun and some of us got really messy with our sculptures.
