Patterns in the Environment - Tiffany Lin

I took this picture at the park while I was going on a walk with my family. I noticed that the sand had dog footprints and took the opportunity to use it for my blog post. I chose this composition because I noticed the grainy sand texture. The contrast between the different tones and footprints indented on the sand. The different forms and shapes of the other materials are mixed into the sand. I chose this because of how unique the texture is. Although the sand is one solid coloured from afar when up close, you notice that there is a mixture of black, grey, beige, white, and copper-coloured grains. There are spaces in between each grain and the little branches from trees, create lines in the image. I learnt to appreciate how different the texture of the sand is from anything else you find in nature. I notice that the footprints left on the sand are consistent and they create a path through the sand.
