These two photos were taken at my local library. While studying, I noticed the patterns on the floor and how each pattern is repeated across the entire floor. The entire pattern is visible in the first image, filling the frame with its complex pattern. The lines' repetition builds an impression of rhythm, attracting the viewer's attention. The use of lines and colour is a design element that appears in the image. On the carpet, there are long lines that run vertically, with different colours. In the second photograph, I focused on a single line by zooming in on a small section. The close-up view emphasizes the complex detail, particularly the carpet's texture. The use of texture stands out as a design element in this image; the fuzziness of the carpet can be observed effectively within the photo. Overall, these two images display how patterns can be found in unexpected places.
