Patterns in the Environment - Loren Vasquez

I took this picture of wild onions in my backyard. I have many patches of this wild onion all over my backyard. I chose this composition because I was able to notice the mix of straight and curved lines while observing the wild onions. Some lines of the onions are short and some are long lines. The vertical lines show how strong and stable the wild onions are because they are growing vertical. Some of the curved line wild onions show its movement as it grows. I like the pattern in the picture shown because of the element of design. Normally, we do not see patterns in our environment as we go about our lives. This activity has helped me to view nature in a whole new way. I was able to see patterns in the environment and appreciate them more rather than looking at them blindly as regular objects.
