Guerilla Art - Tiffany Lin

For my guerilla art, I decided to focus on a topic I am passionate about. My art focuses on feminism. I wrote quotes from aspiring women and created a silhouette of a woman's head on the wall of the high school near me. I want to send messages out to all the girls that need the boost of confidence that they can do what their heart desires, even if it's against the norm that has been set out for them. I put this near the entrance of my high school. There is a little place with a shaded area for students to hang out there near the end of school. I chose this location because I knew students will see it and some may even benefit from the notes. I used sticky notes and a Sharpie. I wanted to keep it simple but impactful. I think some may even take notes as a form of inspiration. But the goal is for them to write down any quotes they have that may support others. I formed a silhouette of a women's face and suggested that they fill the silhouette up but they are free to add it anywhere, leaving them the space to be creative.
