My guerilla art seeks to convey an idea of cooperation and belonging. In an environment that can appear divided, it is critical to reassure individuals that we are all in this together. By writing these words on a public sidewalk, I hope to foster an awareness of the community while motivating people to come together to support each other. This message was written on a busy sidewalk near my local park, where families constantly come and go. I aimed to put my message out to as many people as possible to foster a sense of community. I used removable chalk to write this message on the pavement for this project. I chose chalk because it is simple to apply and can be effortlessly removed with water. I hope my audience will react positively to the message and feel connected. Little acts of guerilla art like this, I believe, can have a big impact on the way individuals feel and view, creating a more encouraging and welcoming environment. Creating guerilla art has been a great way for me to showcase my creativity while also observing issues that are important to me. I feel I am setting limitations while encouraging people to think differently by presenting something not expected and unconventional in a public space. I hope my project inspires others to be inventive and to express themselves in their unique ways.
