I wanted to send a message of self reflection with my art. I feel that people get too caught up in work or and other things that they forget to self-reflect. People end up taking others for granted because they don’t slow down. For my art piece, I used sticky notes and placed them on the wall of a building downtown. I chose this place as the area gets a lot of foot traffic, allowing it to reach a variety of people. I used different coloured markers to write down different questions. I think this would allow the audience to self-reflect and think about where their life is headed, if they are satisfied with how things are or if there are things they can change to better themselves or their relationships with others. Guerilla art promotes creativity because it incites critical thinking and in turn, allows for self expression in multiple forms.
