I decided to choose a sidewalk between two bus stop stations to create my drawing of spreading awareness of the social justice issue of race. My drawing includes the use of different coloured chalks to create the image of different races connecting to form a circle. The drawing is created to reflect the idea that all races matter and deserve to receive equal recognition and treatment. I decided to choose the sidewalk between two bus stop stations that are usually really busy and buses that come every 10 mins because then my artwork will most likely be seen by a larger audience. I think that when people are looking at my artwork they will first respond that the drawing is interesting because it's on the ground. Later, realizing that no matter what colour you may be born with, we are all together in this fight for equality for all races. Guerilla art promotes creativity in me because it allows me to express myself about how I feel about spreading positivity toward the community I live in. Moreover, encourages other people to be engaged in political issues and spread the message around their communities.
